Lately, memory chip prices have been rising sharply, forcing smartphone manufacturers to increase the prices of their devices, especially of those phones on which they had low profit margins, such as entry-level and mid-range models。
Samsung was among the first brands to raise phone prices, hiking the cost of several mid-range models, including the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36, multiple times, as these devices offer limited room for profit。
However, Samsung had so far avoided increasing prices for its high-end smartphones, such as the Galaxy Z and Galaxy S series, where higher profit margins helped cushion the impact of rising component costs。
Unfortunately, memory chip prices have now climbed so steeply that the brand is being forced to raise prices for its premium devices as well, with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy S25 Edge being the first to feel the impact。
According to a report from Newsway, Samsung is planning to increase the prices of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy S25 Edge in South Korea from April 1, 2026。
At the moment, there’s no information if Samsung will increase the prices of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy S25 Edge in other countries as well。
